Three hundred years ago, a mixed-blood (Metis) scout disappeared into the wilderness to explore and trade. He found his way to the Great Lakes, where the Ojibwa People of the region took him in. He was given a name and became part of their tribe.
Today, he returns to share the stories, songs, and dances of the places he explored, from the Great Lakes to the Ohio, Mississippi, St. Lawrence, and Mohawk Valleys.
Genot Picor Presents "Stories, Songs and Dances of the Metis' Voyageur."
Join us on an extraordinary journey through time as we explore the rich heritage of the Great Lakes region with GENOT PICOR: STORIES SONGS DANCES OF THE VOYAGEURS®. Our distinguished performer, a retired Teacher Consultant, and Master' s-level Clinical Psychologist brings three centuries of history to life through interactive storytelling.
We take pride in sharing the fascinating tale of a Metis scout who ventured into the wilderness, discovering the Great Lakes and forming deep connections with the Ojibwa People. We transport audiences across the Great Lakes, Ohio, Mississippi, St. Lawrence, and Mohawk Valleys through captivating performances.
